Aurthor Hoarfrost, a sociopathic arpine scientist, stands before his creation: the Circlebreaker. After the Third Gronican War Aurthor was hired by the Aeronian Union military to develop them the ultimate weapon that they hoped would avert future devastating wars.

Aurthor, despite his genius, is not exactly a stable or moral character. He doesn't love nature, hates many of those he meets, and has little respect for the traditional arpine spirituality.

The Circlebreaker can be seen in the background being tested on an unidentified and uninhabited super-earth planet. A traditional arpine amulet can be seen being symbolically broken by the beam.
